About Stitch Craft

About our workshop

We redesign, alter, and upcycle clothing for people who want their garments to last longer and fit better.

Remodelling garments with purpose

Stitch Craft focuses on tailoring, clothing alterations, and garment remodelling with a careful eye on structure, fabric, and wear. Each project begins with a review of the garment so the design, condition, and possible outcomes are clear before work moves forward.

From fit updates to creative restyling, we work with vintage pieces, sentimental garments, and clothing that deserves a second life. Our approach is practical, thoughtful, and guided by what the garment can realistically support.

Our story

How we work

Our process is built to keep the work clear, measured, and realistic from the first assessment to the final review.

2021

Review the garment

Every project begins with an inquiry and a close look at the garment and materials. This helps us understand what can be adjusted, reused, or reshaped.

2023

Plan the redesign

We then discuss the redesign direction, outline the scope, and provide a custom quote after the review. Concept approval comes before any major work begins.

Today

Finish and collect

After remodelling, we complete a fit or finish review so the final piece reflects the approved design and the garment is ready for collection.

What guides us

Values behind the craft

Our work combines practical tailoring with creative remodelling, always shaped by the condition of the garment and the approved design direction.

RS

Respect the garment

We look at each garment for its construction, fabric condition, and reuse potential before suggesting a direction. That helps keep the work aligned with what the piece can genuinely support.

AP

Approve before work

We explain the scope clearly and confirm the concept before additional work begins. If materials or construction details affect the result, we address that upfront.

UR

Reuse with intent

We value remodelling that extends a garment's life instead of replacing it. Reusing strong original elements can create something functional, wearable, and distinctive.

FT

Fit with care

Fit matters, but it depends on the garment's structure and available seam allowance. We focus on careful adjustments and finish quality rather than promises that cannot be confirmed in advance.
